Things we need

We need something to hang things on, like Jackets and hats.
We need a better way of storing the boys clothes since we have to put a Playpen right there. Maybe in the pantry with a pull out basket or something.
We need a place to put the dirty shoes instead of throwing them out on the floor.
We need a lighter and the lantren close to where we can use it if we need it.
We need some more flash lights. OH yeah I got those for the boys for stocking stuffers, they will love them.
We need to figure out how to carry the picnic table and bikes better, ie on the back.
We need to get better mirrors for the truck.

We cant wait to go again.

Next trip will be PEDERNALES FALLS STATE PARK the last week of Dec 2010 thru the 2nd of the new year!!!!!!

I so love being out camping. Even though its a lot of work, I love it. It makes us take time together as a family. With the Games, camp fires, and the hikes. Oh cant forget the bike rides. So much fun. We are just loving it.

Cant wait to make many more memories with the camper and my wonderful family.

Lake Livingston Nov 2010

Day One

We arrived at 7:15. Man, the traffic was really really bad, it put us there 40 mins later. Loving the DVD player. Going to have to feed the baby as soon as we get there. Love making memories our family.



Day Two

We went on a short hike today, it was so pretty. i am so happy to have this wonderful time with our family. We are playing games and enjoying each other. Grayson is

not sleeping well at night but the coffee is strong and hot and set to brew before we get up, makes for a wonderful morning. We are liking this park.

There are a few things that are different.
1. I thought it was a state park rule children must wear helmets when riding.
2. I thought there was no beer rule, but there has been lots of drinking.
3. There is also lots of people not being considerate to others with their music playing.

All in all this is turning out to be a great trip. Every one in this loop is pulling out today (Sunday) and we are staying till Tue. We have the park to ourselves.

Day 3 and 4.

Today it was time to go, we had a blast. The boys are sad and do not want to go home. It took us about 3 hours to pack up and get on the road. All in all this park was good. I think i would give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Reasons to lose stars.
It did not seem like there were park rangers present when there were lots of people. They started going around when all the people were gone.
The other reasons I already listed.

All in All what a wonderful family time we had.

This blog

I wanted to start this blog to document our camping adventures. I want to put how long it took to get there. Where we stopped along the way. What we had to eat. What number camp site we went on. What hikes we went on. What the parks look like and how much we like them. We want to try to hit every park in TX. We just got our camper and cant wait to get several family memories with it.

First trip will be on the 19th Nov. 2010 for 4 nights at Livingston State Park.

I am very excited about this blog and hope to keep it going.
